Mule was born because three friends wanted something in Torquay they couldn’t find anywhere else. It’s what happens when three minds get tangled together and pour themselves out onto the page.

The idea was never complicated. We just wanted people to feel like they’d wandered into our backyard on a good night — fire going, beer sweating on the table, someone shaking another round of drinks. The kind of place where the music is up just enough, the food keeps landing in the middle of the table, and nobody’s in a rush to call it.

Mule is that backyard stretched into a taqueria: smoke and spice in the air, glasses catching the light, strangers and friends sharing plates as if they’ve known each other for years. It’s hospitality the way we like it — loose, warm, and very hard to leave.
